Lecture 4. After an introduction on how we do and should evaluate purported evidence for paranormal phenomena, such as visions and out of body experiences, an account is given of the recent researches into the increasing reports of Near Death Experiences. This is compared with the very full reporting of experience of a world of deceased persons by Emanuel Swedenborg. In the light of this evidence, the reasons are given why we need no longer doubt the existence of a life after death. Dr. Stanley is Principal of the New Church College in Manchester, England.
