Olle Hjern is Chairman of the Scandinavian Swedenborg Society. He was ordained a priest of the New Church in 1958 and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Stockholm, specializing in Sacred Languages and the History of Religion. He was co-author with Inge Jonsson of the book "Swedenborg," Proprius Press, 1976, among other publication. Rev. Hjern, who is undoubtedly Sweden's most esteemed scholar of Swedenborgiana and New Church history, has been editor of "Nya Kyrkans Tidning" for more than thirty years and is active as Pastor of the Swedish Society of "The Lord's New Church".
