Lessons and text
Are we seeking to help those who are living a good life? Or are we seeking to help those who are not living a good life? See Matthew 10:5-8, also John 3:19-21. See HH 1:e and AC 2568. Who are the hungry, the thirsty, the strangers, the naked, the sick, and the prisoners we are instructed to serve? See Matthew 25:31-46 and AC 4955-4956. What does it mean to "make disciples of all nations" in Matthew 29:19? What does it mean to "preach the gospel to every creature" in Mark 16:15? Who can be enlightened and who cannot? See WH 7 and AC 2986:e. Note, the Writings speak of 5% who are genuine seekers after truth. 5% of whom? See TCR 98, and other interesting statistics in DP 153, 250, AC 3812 and D. Wisdom I-5.
