Lessons and text

"Verily, verily" [or "Amen, amen"], signifies that this is the truth; and the Lord used that expression so frequently because He was the truth itself. He Himself is also called "the Amen" (Rev. 3:14). (True Christian Religion #572)
“Amen” signifies Divine confirmation from the truth, thus from the Lord Himself. "Amen" signifies truth; and because the Lord was truth itself, He so often said, "Amen, I say unto you." That the Lord is the truth itself, He Himself teaches in John 14:6: "I am the way, the truth, and the life." (Apocalypse Revealed #23)
"Amen" signifies Divine confirmation from truth itself, thus from the Word. (Apocalypse Revealed #292)
"Amen," signifies the consent of all. (Apocalypse Revealed #342)
When it is said at the beginning it signifies truth, and thence confirmation; but when at the end, it signifies the confirmation and consent of all that it is the truth. (Apocalypse Revealed #3475)
When anyone speaks Divine truth from the heart the Lord confirms it. Confirmation cannot come from any other source. This is the signification of "amen" at the end of prayer. (Apocalypse Explained #469)
Truth confirms all things, and Divine truth confirms itself; and it was because the Lord when He was in the world was Divine truth itself, that He so frequently said "Amen" [usually translated "Verily"]. (Apocalypse Explained #34)
