The New Church Foundations seven-part sermon series was developed to correlate with the workbook of the same title, as part of a program for people that want to take their understanding of New Church teachings to the next level. This spiritual growth program focuses on the core teachings of the New Church and how they apply to life through reflection, reading and life skills.
This program was originally developed by Rev. Frank Rose following decades of experience with instruction and connecting people new to the New Church. Later it was further expanded through the General Church Outreach staff and others.
These seven sermons cover topics such as: What is the purpose of life? What about life after death? The nature of Jesus Christ as God. The nature of Revelation, the Bible and the Writings of Swedenborg. The process of spiritual growth, salvation and regeneration. The universal nature of the Lord's Church and the importance of building spiritual community. The concept that we were created to be useful and to serve others. The Church, its history and purpose.
