When Jesus saw the man lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?" (John 5:6) We sometimes feel stuck in an unhappy spiritual state. Our minds focus on the reasons why we won't be able to get out of this state. The Lord offers us the possibility of change.
