The purpose of the New Testament is to know that Jesus is Christ and the Son of God, and so we can live a life in His Name.
The purpose of family is to raise children for heaven. Marriage was designed with all its potential to support that highest use. And marriage needs its own care, support, and guidance. The Lord ensures all people love their children, but only the spiritual can truly love their spouse. The Lord offers guidance to support the goal of a truly united marriage.
