This message considers the words that Jacob spoke regarding his son Issachar (Gen. 49:14, 15). They are words that, when understood spiritually, show how we all have a hereditary tendency toward allowing external or worldly rewards to be the motivation for our hard work The Lord is trying to turn our hearts so that we are motivated to work hard and help others, not for reward, but because we have come to find joy in simply being of service to others and making others happy.
