As we consider who to elect to offices in our government, we can look to the Lord's teachings to guide us. The Lord tells us there are three qualities to look for in an organizational leader: skilled in the Law, wise, and God Fearing. He also provides us principles by which to prioritize our choice of policy or platform planks: spirituality/justice, morality, economics. If we look to the Lord Jesus Christ and allow Him to guide our choices of leaders, our country will be able to be lead and healed by Him.
