“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8) Spiritually speaking, taste has to do with perception, with the ability to discern whether something is pleasant (good) or unpleasant (evil). We might think we can cultivate our own spiritual palate, but this gets tricky when our old and new “self” present contradictory ideas of what is “good” and “sweet.” Thankfully, the Lord can help.
