Falsity Turned to Good
Worship Service: Sermon only - November 26, 2017
"Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those are with them. | By Rev. Erik J. Buss | Bryn Athyn CathedralMore of Us or Them?
Worship Service: Family (may include music) - November 26, 2017
Do you often feel alone in trying to be a good person? You're trying to be descent, but there are all these voices and negative messages pushing us in the opposite direction. The Lord says that there's a lot more support of us than we think. Short Selection copyright protected by John & Lori Odhner. Used by permission. | By Rev. Erik J. Buss | Bryn Athyn CathedralThe Word Made Flesh
Worship Service: Informal Family - November 26, 2017
Sometimes human language can seem rather inadequate when it attempts to convey an idea. One of the things the Lord accomplished by being born into this world was to give us tangible examples of what it means to wisely love others. The Lord became the Word made flesh and dwelt among us to teach and lead us so that we might know Him and be led by Him towards better lives. | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell | Bryn Athyn Heilman HallHow Wealthy is Too Wealthy
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - November 26, 2017
As Christians is it our duty to shun wealth? Jesus says that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. So should the wealthy among us be ashamed of their wealth? Should the poorer of us take pride in their poorness? Not exactly. The problem with money is the use to which we apply it. Money is heavenly when we see it as an opportunity to serve others and hellish when we see it as a way to love ourselves. All of us, rich and poor, need to take stock of the gifts we have been given in abundance and ask how we can use that abundance to make the world a better place. | By Rev. Worship Service: Sermon only - November 19, 2017
Here in Part 17 of our series following the book 'Heaven and Hell' we reflect on the Lord's message that "we are what we love." The type of dominant love that drives our affections in this world will always remain with us. The Lord wants to work with us to ensure that that dominant love is outward looking, focusing on loving Him and loving our neighbors. | By Rev. Garry B. Walsh | Phoenix, AZLevitical Blessing

The Lord proclaimed that the children of Israel were to celebrate feasts of harvest of first-fruits and ingathering (see Exodus 23:16), and that they should bring their fruits to the Lord. Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - November 12, 2017
The Lord teaches us to forgive by reflecting on our relationship with Him and what He has given us. Our duty to forgive flows from that forgiveness, but our reception of His forgiveness depends or our response to Him in our relationship with others. | By Rev. Derrick Lumsden | Sarver, PAFacing Floods, Part 3 - Ride it Out
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - November 12, 2017
Two weeks ago we talked about seeing the floods, or challenges, coming and understanding that there is a better life on the other side. Last week we talked about preparing for the floods, or challenges, by making sure hat we are walking hand in hand with God and following Him wherever He leads us. This week we are going to talk about being in the middle of the flood itself, coping with the challenges as we experience them. In the midst of struggle we suffer from doubt but the Lord's promise is that He has prepared you and that He will bring you through alive, to find a new beginning. There is no challenge that you cannot overcome. | By Rev. Joel C Glenn | Westville, RSAHorses and Chariots of Fire

We don't see them, and we are almost always unaware of them, but as Elisha says in 2 Kings 6 "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." Coming out of our forgiveness series, we see how our resentments can be replaced by forgiveness and then by gratitude. The story from 2 Kings 6 illustrates how the Lord’s armies protecting us are invisible to our eyes. As we look towards Thanksgiving we note how much of the support that we receive in life goes unnoticed by us, and how helpful it is to pay attention to it. | By Rev. Jeremy F. "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house."
