Inviting Peace and Order into Our Lives
Worship Service: Sermon only - January 22, 2017
This message reflects on how the Lord is life itself and therefore order itself. We are in peace when our lives are aligned with His order. We feel anxiety and similar challenges when we are not aligned with Him. | By Rev. Garry B. Walsh | Phoenix, AZThree Blessings of Baptism

Worship Service: Sermon only - January 15, 2017
The basis of this message is the parable of the Unjust Steward. The Lord explains how humanity often lives in self-imposed darkness because of a preference for false thinking over what is true. And so the Lord encourages us to open our eyes to the light so that as we live useful lives based on earthly knowledge, we can do so from a higher light and higher motivations. | By Rev. Garry B. Walsh | Phoenix, AZLet the Lord Decide What Burden You Bear
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - January 15, 2017
What are you carrying? Did you put down some stuff at the end of last year that you're now picking up again, along with some new things? What about things from the past-are you carrying guilt about things you did or didn't do in addition to guilt about things you are or aren't doing now? The Lord says, "Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give your rest ..... For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Let's talk about what burden the Lord wants us to carry and how to let go of the rest. | By Rev. Malcolm G. Smith | Westville, RSAInnocence - "Behold I make all things new"
Worship Service: Informal Family - January 01, 2017
All genuine newness is from the Lord, not measured by time, but by innocence. Innocence is what makes anything new. (John 3) | By Rev. John L. Odhner | Bryn Athyn Heilman HallNew Wine in New Wineskins
Worship Service: Sermon only - January 01, 2017
"A person from birth loves only himself and the world, for nothing else appears before his eyes, and therefore he considers nothing else in his heart; and this love is carnally natural, and can be called materialistic." Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - November 06, 2016
What does our Heavenly Father want from us His children? Perhaps more importantly, what does our Heavenly Father want to do FOR us? According to what He said in the Word, He wants to show us the way to get ourselves ready for heaven. Like a good Father He wants us to try things out and learn for ourselves, but He also knows when to step in and help us when we run into an obstacle that we can't overcome by ourselves. | By Rev. James P. Cooper | Westville, RSAMercy For The Harlot

Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - October 02, 2016
We are called by the Lord to be “merchants” in search of pearls. Pearls represent truths from the Lord’s Word, and the pearl of great price stands for knowledge about the Lord Himself. The Lord plants within us a longing called in the Writings for the New Church “the affection for truth.” The more we search in the Word, or talk with others in an effort to discover the great truths about life, the more the Lord will be able to bless us with wisdom. We will come to discover in growing ways what leads to lasting happiness, and feel called to turn to the Lord as the one who can lead us to experience it. | By Rt. Rev. Peter M. Buss, Jr. | Sarver, PASpiritual Restoration, Part 3 - Greater Glory
Worship Service: Informal Family - October 02, 2016
The Lord knows that we can become discouraged as we work to restore our lives. The Lord reminds us that He is with us and promises us greater glory through that restoration. | By Rev. Derrick Lumsden | Sarver, PAWhy We Have Sacraments 1- Baptism
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - September 18, 2016
This Sunday we have the privilege of witnessing an infant baptism. And so, in the sermon, we’re going to be talking about baptism and Holy Supper. Here’s a passage to get you thinking about the topic. Have you ever had thoughts along these lines? If the spiritual meaning of the Word had not been disclosed,… [people] might mutter and say to themselves, “What is baptism but pouring water on a baby’s head? What does that do for the baby’s salvation? What is the Holy Supper but taking bread and wine? What does that do for our salvation? For that matter, what is holy about these rituals, other than the fact that the ecclesiastical hierarchy has traditionally accepted them as sacred and divine and has commanded us to observe them? Although the churches claim that when the Word of God is brought near the elements they become sacred, these rituals are essentially just ceremonial.” … Yet from the point of view of their spiritual meaning, these two sacraments are the holiest acts of worship. (True Christianity §667) When we understand the significance of baptism and Holy Supper they can become a very meaningful part of our spiritual lives, rather than just arbitrary seeming rituals. | By Rev. Malcolm G. Smith | Westville, RSAWhat Should I Pray For?
Worship Service: Sermon only - September 11, 2016
This message reflects on the Lord's promise that: "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." We consider what it means to "Ask in His name", and from this think about what our prayers should be asking for. We remember that ultimately prayer is simply conversation with the Lord. | By Rev. The focus is on the story of the Lord placing a child before His disciples and saying that to receive the child in His name is to receive Him. In other words, the Lord was encouraging the disciples, and indeed all people, to put away self-centeredness, and to grow to become truly humble. That promise is of a life enveloped by love together with the wisdom of knowing how to serve Him and others. | By Rev. Garry B. Walsh | Phoenix, AZ
