Better Than Miracles
Worship Service: Sermon only - June 18, 2017
The man of the church at this date knows scarcely anything about heaven and hell or about his life after death, although all these matters are set forth and described in the word; and yet many of those born within the church refuse to believe in them, saying in their hearts, "Who has come from that world and told us?" | By Rt. Rev. Peter M. Buss, Sr. | Bryn Athyn CathedralWalls and Gates
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - June 11, 2017
The Lord spends a lot of time describing the walls of the Holy City New Jerusalem. The walls are the boundaries that protect us and the gates are what brings us into heavenly life. We need both boundaries and access to live a heavenly life. | By Rev. Derrick Lumsden | Sarver, PAI Am The Alpha And The Omega
Worship Service: Sermon only - June 11, 2017
The book of Revelation is about a New Church the Lord is establishing in this world. This New Church is founded on the eternal truth that the Lord Jesus Christ is the One God of heaven and earth. We explore the first vision John had on the Island of Patmos which introduces this eternal truth, setting the stage for the rest of this wonderful book. | By Rev. Matthew L. Genzlinger | West Concord, MA12 Pearly Gates to the City
Worship Service: Informal Family - June 04, 2017
On the Holy City New Jerusalem there are twelve gates facing four different directions (Revelation 21:12-13). Twelve different ways into the City. What does this mean about entering heaven, or entering the New Church? What does this mean about our own spiritual lives? | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal | Bryn Athyn Heilman HallBehold, the Days Have Come
Worship Service: Sermon only - May 07, 2017
This message reflects on the risen Lord and the secrets He revealed to His disciples on His final walk with them from Jerusalem to Bethany before He rose to heaven before their eyes. The primary secret was that His love for each of us is contained within every minute detail of His Word. | By Rev. Garry B. Walsh | Phoenix, AZA High Quality Life leads to a High Quality Faith
Worship Service: Sermon only - April 02, 2017
In the New Church we are given the vital teaching, that it is the quality of the charity in our life that most defines us. As the charity in our life grows, so the faith we have in the Lord will also grow. | By Rev. Garry B. Walsh | Phoenix, AZBecoming More Christ-Like
Worship Service: Sermon only - March 12, 2017
Christianity, at the organizational or individual level, suffers when there is no genuine charity. Therefore, to be more Christian, or to be more Christ-like, requires a transformation that sees a growing focus on loving the Lord and loving others. When true charity is combined with a true understanding of the Lord's message, the church and the individual, rather than facing destruction, grows into what the Lord and other people need the church and the individual to be. | By Rev. Garry B. Walsh | Phoenix, AZThe Future of Spiritual Tourism

Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - December 18, 2016
The gift that is most precious to the Lord is gratitude for the gifts He gives us. When we offer to Him spiritual gold, frankincense, and myrrh, we acknowledge Him as the source of all good and truth in our life in the head, the heart, and in the world around us. That acknowledgement is worship. | By Rev. Derrick Lumsden | Sarver, PAWhy We Have Sacraments 1- Baptism
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - September 18, 2016
This Sunday we have the privilege of witnessing an infant baptism. And so, in the sermon, we’re going to be talking about baptism and Holy Supper. Here’s a passage to get you thinking about the topic. Have you ever had thoughts along these lines? If the spiritual meaning of the Word had not been disclosed,… [people] might mutter and say to themselves, “What is baptism but pouring water on a baby’s head? What does that do for the baby’s salvation? What is the Holy Supper but taking bread and wine? What does that do for our salvation? For that matter, what is holy about these rituals, other than the fact that the ecclesiastical hierarchy has traditionally accepted them as sacred and divine and has commanded us to observe them? Although the churches claim that when the Word of God is brought near the elements they become sacred, these rituals are essentially just ceremonial.” … Yet from the point of view of their spiritual meaning, these two sacraments are the holiest acts of worship. (True Christianity §667) When we understand the significance of baptism and Holy Supper they can become a very meaningful part of our spiritual lives, rather than just arbitrary seeming rituals. | By Rev. Malcolm G. Smith | Westville, RSAThe Permission of Evil
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - August 28, 2016
When sadness or tragedy strikes we can’t help asking, “Why did this happen?” We will explore why the Lord needs to allow unhappiness, and what He does afterwards to help us and restore us. | By Rt. Rev. Peter M. Buss, Sr. | Westville, RSASeeing the Lord
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - August 07, 2016
We trust our senses. If I see something with my own eyes I know it's real, and if I can't see it I might question if it's real. Yet we believe in the Lord and none of us has seen Him. We'll talk about how we can see the Lord and about why it's important, and even vital, that we see Him. | By Rev. Erik J. Buss | Westville, RSAGuilt and Remorse
Worship Service: Sermon only - July 24, 2016
All of us have done things that are wrong, sometimes painfully wrong. How do we move on? What's the one essential thing we need to make sure we do, even as we find ourselves keeping on doing harmful things? We'll explore this and more, and then have a chance to come before the Lord for Holy Supper to ask His help in moving forward. | By Rev. Erik J. Buss | Westville, RSAWelcome to the Holy City New Jerusalem
Worship Service: Sermon only - June 26, 2016
This message looks at the vision given to John of the Holy City New Jerusalem descending from God out of heaven. We think about this city in terms of it being the Lord's promise to us if we go on a journey with Him. That promise is of a life enveloped by love together with the wisdom of knowing how to serve Him and others. | By Rev. Garry B. Walsh | Phoenix, AZThe Lord on a White Horse
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - June 26, 2016
An explanation of one of those "difficult" stories in the Old Testament, showing how even when the story involves punishment for evildoers, the essential message is a positive one about how the Lord is constantly watching over us and protecting us from spiritual harm. | By Rev. James P. Cooper | Westville, RSAHeroes - Everyday Heroes
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - June 19, 2016
The Lord calls us to the most important uses of marriage, parenting, and service to others. These are his most important goals and give us the deepest happiness. We are called to a heroism of everyday greatness and deep everyday spirituality. | By Rev. Derrick Lumsden | Sarver, PABecoming Truly New Church
Worship Service: Sermon only - June 12, 2016
This message considers what it means to truly be New Church. It seems that it is more than identification with a set of teachings or a religious community. Instead, it is something that a person grows into as they allow the Lord to lead them on a journey where they gradually become and angel and experience more and more of His peace and joy. | By Rev. Garry B. Walsh | Phoenix, AZThe Child Who Ruled With a Rod of Iron
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - June 12, 2016
The Hebrew word for "dragon" is translated in different ways when it is used in different parts of the Old and New Testaments. Sometimes its a "serpent" and in the story of Jonah its a "great fish." In this sermon we'll be looking at some of these stories to see the different way the "dragon" tries to interfere with our spiritual growth and the health of the church. | By Rev. James P. Cooper | Westville, RSACalled to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb

Worship Service: Sermon only - June 05, 2016
This message examines one of the fundamental elements that makes the New Christianity, or New Church, "new". This is the appreciation of the fact that within the literal stories of the Lord's Word lives a deeper spiritual meaning that deals directly with the Lord, His love for us, and the nature of the steps of our regeneration as the Lord leads us toward heaven. | By Rev. Garry B. Walsh | Phoenix, AZAs We Also Forgive Our Debtors
Worship Service: Sermon only - June 05, 2016
Have you ever wondered why people in the New Church say the Lord's prayer a bit differently from a lot of other churches? One of the differences is that we say, "and forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors." Do you know what that means? How are debts different from trespasses? This sermon puts them in context. | By Rev. Malcolm G. Smith | Westville, RSAThings Missing from the Holy City New Jerusalem
Worship Service: Sermon only - June 05, 2016
"But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it......Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there)."
