Dynamic Patterns of Growth in the Spiritual World
Life in the Spiritual World corresponds to forms and changes perceivable in the material world, but is governed not by the laws of natural science, but by corresponding laws of the soul, since it is a projection of the soul's own states of being. These spiritual laws illustrate a spiritual ecology, based both on cycles and evolutionary developments, which mirrors the cycles of nature and our planet's evolutionary development. This lecture was first given at the College of Psychic Studies, London, in March, 1984, and draws on the experiences and analyses of Emanuel Swedenborg. Swedenborg
Radio Programs - December 07, 1986
In three ten minute radio talks (first broadcast in 1977), Dr. Stanley (Principal of the New Church College in Manchester, England) outlines Swedenborg's anticipation of modern discoveries of the inner structures of the atom, his perceptive analysis of the inner levels of the mind, and his exciting discovery of the inner spiritual levels of the Scriptures. | By Dr. Michael Stanley | Manchester, England

The Effect of the Other World on this World
Lecture 6. The two worlds, spiritual and natural, are far more interconnected than is commonly believed. Nature's forms and individual and global events are strongly influenced by corresponding forms and events in the spiritual world. The importance and purpose of this connection is evaluated in relation to our individual lives and decisions. Laws of the Spiritual World
Lecture 5. Existence in the Spiritual World after death is governed by definite spiritual laws and conditions, which have been discovered and discussed by the scientist Swedenborg on the basis of his 27 years of direct experience in this world of the deceased. It is clear that being aware of these eternal laws is of great value and importance for our life here and now. Evidence for Life After Death
Lecture 4. After an introduction on how we do and should evaluate purported evidence for paranormal phenomena, such as visions and out of body experiences, an account is given of the recent researches into the increasing reports of Near Death Experiences. This is compared with the very full reporting of experience of a world of deceased persons by Emanuel Swedenborg. In the light of this evidence, the reasons are given why we need no longer doubt the existence of a life after death. The Healing of the Spirit
Dr. Michael Stanley is Principal of the New Church College in Manchester, England. Healing the spirit of spiritual sickness and disease such as jealousy or self pity is of greater importance than the healing of the body alone. It is such spiritual illnesses that are the real subject of the healing stories in the Gospels, they have their origins in a real Spiritual World of personalized spiritual forces, both good and evil. The way in which one can experience truly spiritual healing, and why this is sometimes delayed, is explained according to spiritual principles of life. | By Dr. Michael Stanley | Manchester, England

Genesis
Lecture 2. Is the Genesis story of man's creation true, or have we evolved by chance from the apes, as the Darwinian Evolutionists claim? The answer is no in both cases, since neither is the Genesis account intended to teach us about our physical origins, nor did Darwin and his followers understand the true nature of Evolution. The book of Genesis is shown to be a parable describing the soul's birth and development in clearly defined stages, and is as true and important for us today as when it was first written.
