Ten Commandments, Part 10 - Desires
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - February 11, 2018
The commandments against coveting will take you deeper and change you more, especially as you apply it to the other commandment. It can build your relationship with the Lord because it is about desires. To have our desires changed, we must fight against them because they sin or lead to sin against the Lord. | By Rev. Derrick Lumsden | Sarver, PAThe Copper Age
Worship Service: Sermon only - February 11, 2018
"We have precepts from them regarding marriage which we have preserved among us. We are their descendants, and they have handed down rules to us, like fathers to sons. (Married Love 77:4) | By Rev. Jeremy F. Simons | Bryn Athyn CathedralSwedenborg Visits the Copper Age

And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart; you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7) | By Rev. Jeremy F. Simons | Bryn Athyn CathedralAbraham and Ishmael
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - February 11, 2018
Abraham depicts the highest level of humanity, the Lord's, and by reflection, our own. Yet his firstborn is Ishmael - a rough and stubborn beginning on the path of regeneration. - BDS | By Rev. Brian D. Smith | Mitchellville, MDCollected, One by One
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - February 11, 2018
There's a verse somewhere in the middle of Isaiah that says, ...."you shall be collected, one by one...." Someone recently showed me this verse and pointed out that it has important implications for how we approach our relationships with other people and the Lord. | By Rev. Malcolm G. Smith | Westville, RSASpiritual Salt
Worship Service: Informal Family - February 11, 2018
In 2nd Kings chapter 2, the water at Jericho was bad, so Elisha “healed” the water by putting salt into it. Salt was used in the Israelite offerings of unleavened bread, and is also an ingredient in our Holy Supper bread. The Lord spoke positively about “salt” in the New Testament. As we take Holy Supper this week, we will explore the symbolism of salt in our lives. | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal | Bryn Athyn Heilman HallThe Journey of Love - a message Honoring Caregivers

Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - February 04, 2018
Getting a true perspective on life depends entirely on what witnesses you believe. We are commanded to not bear false witness against our neighbor so that truth and justice can prevail for others. We also must seek the truth and trust the witness of the Lord, which happens as we flee from false witness of every kind. | By Rev. Derrick Lumsden | Sarver, PALooking for Signs
Worship Service: Informal Family - February 04, 2018
Signs are helpful in navigating through life. And there are lots of different kinds of signs. In autumn, the leaves turning gold is a sign of coming winter. A street sign can warn us of an unexpected turn in the road ahead. What are the signs of Faith? What are the signs that the Lord is helping us? And what are the signs that we are doing what the Lord asks of us? The Word is full of stories about different signs. We will look at the story of Gideon, who asked the Lord for signs (using a fleece and the dew) that He will save Israel from their enemies. The gist of it is that this is also a sign to us that our love and wisdom can grow within us in amazing ways! It is a practical reminder that the Lord is working within us to open our eyes and help us become more loving people (complete with the insights on how to do so). We will talk about the signs that the Lord can be present in each of our lives. | By Rt. Rev. David H. Lindrooth | Bryn Athyn Heilman HallYour Life is Not Your Own
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - February 04, 2018
Who does your life belong to? We know that at least some of it belongs to the Lord so we make man effort to give Him His due share. But what if all of your life, every last bit of it, belongs to the Lord? At first this might seem like a constraining idea. But in fact it can be freeing. We do not have to balance out whit is mine and what is His; when we give it all to Him we free ourselves to live our best lives possible. | By Rev. Joel C Glenn | Westville, RSATrusting the Lord with Our Weakness

Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - January 28, 2018
When we have made the Lord a priority and started to work on living better we often expect things to change dramatically. Sadly, that is not the case. Changes in our external lives are an important beginning but we will not see real change until the change happens in our hearts. When the children of Israel built a house for the Lord not just as a place of worship but also as a state of mind, then the Lord could begin to bless them again. | By Rev. Joel C Glenn | Westville, RSARediscovery and Recommitment
Worship Service: Informal Family - January 28, 2018
In the time of King Josiah, the Word was rediscovered in the broken down temple. In the time of Swedenborg, the internal sense of the Word was rediscovered in the Christian Church that was in disrepair. Our lives can also be a broken down “temple” in disrepair, in which the Truth can become lost. How do we rediscover and recommit to the Truth that can help us rebuild and heal our lives? | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal | Bryn Athyn Heilman HallThe Importance of Learning
Worship Service: Family (may include music) - January 28, 2018
The more we understand what the Lord teaches and try to live according to it, the more useful we will be.
